About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Project Operations Manager to oversee our construction projects from start to finish. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site project superintents and engineers
- Prepare notification documents for utilities
- Develop and implement project schedules and budgets
- Negotiate with clients and stakeholders
- Participate in estimating and bidding processes
- Optimize operations and methods with project engineers
- Control project progress and meet objectives
- Determine suppliers and subcontractors with division manager and contracts department
- Review and approve change order requests
- Complete project budget and control expenses
- Approve invoices and prepare final quantities report
- Actively participate in training and recruiting
- Responsible for performance evaluations and recommend technical solutions
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure compliance with company policies
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of experience in heavy/highway construction
- Knowledge of construction techniques and practices, paving, underground, concrete, and grading
- Thorough knowledge of heavy, civil construction equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and stakeholders
