About the Role
The Quality Control Manager will oversee inspectors on site and report to the Construction Manager at Northeast Paving.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring contractor activities and inspecting materials entering the worksite.
- Ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions for the construction contract.
- Maintaining detailed records of daily operations and events affecting the worksite, as well as reviewing modifications to plans.
- Performing sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract.
- BASIC MATH SKILLS ARE USED TO COMPUTE TEST RESULTS.
- Performing duties at multiple job sites.
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and MADOT design standards.
- Preparing written reports, recording test results, and maintaining Density Logbooks.
- Cleaning and maintaining testing equipment.
- Cleaning and maintaining trucks.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Performing jobsite testing as required by specifications and contract documents.
- Performing product tests as prescribed by the Director of Technical Services.
- Digital signing monthly certification form 700-020-02 for various projects.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interact with individuals at any level of the organization.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
