Certification Details BLS ACLS TNCC PALS NIHSS Job Details Travel ER RN Start : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 6p-6a, weekends required Job Requirements At least 2 years ED RN experience required Must have at least 1 year of travel experience Must be able to take 4-5 : 1 ratio, assuming ESI level 3 average patient Additional paperwork is required on transfer patients due to local EMS requirements Floating may be required Schedule Information 48hr weekly guarantees can be accommodated if requested Unit Specific Information Must be able to perform triage, PIV, port access / deaccess, foley placement, NG / OG placement, wound care, splint / OCL application Preferred : US guided IV Additional Details Serve patients presenting to the ER of all ages from neonates to elderly Designated as Level III trauma center, ACC Chest Pain / STEMI center, and Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center Expected to handle all patients from ESI level 1-5 Must be able to care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients Must be able to triage and assess patients quickly Department works as a team ER RNs must perform all clinical skills including PIV, NG / OG tubes, foleys, splinting, wound care Must know how to assist with art line, central line and chest tube placement Must be willing to answer call lights and transport patients All RNs required to float to task in other departments if not needed in the ED Average float out of ED is 1 shift in 13 week period EMR is EDIS Medhost Medication Dispense is Omnicell ED RNs responsible for ensuring appropriate EMTALA paperwork is completed per regulatory guidelines
