Compliance Manager

Location: Wall Township, NJ

Industry: Heavy Civil Construction

We are committed to quality, environmental responsibility, and workplace safety. We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance our Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure compliance with ISO standards.

About the Role:

The Compliance Manager will play a crucial role in implementing, maintaining, and improving our IMS. This position ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and certification requirements while supporting audits, training, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

IMS Implementation & Compliance

• Oversee the implementation and coordination of the IMS in compliance with ISO standards.
• Ensure IMS policies, procedures, and records are maintained and accessible.
• Support compliance with industry-specific regulations and certifications.

Audits & Inspections

• Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits.
• Support external audits by certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and clients.
• Track and resolve non-conformities through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain IMS-related documentation, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and training records.
• Prepare reports on IMS performance, audit findings, and compliance status for management review.

Training & Awareness

• Develop and deliver IMS training programs for employees.
• Promote awareness and adherence to IMS policies and procedures across all levels.
• Provide guidance on compliance-related matters.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

• Identify areas for improvement within IMS processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and environmental impact assessments.
• Implement best practices and process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Certification or training in ISO standards is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IMS, Quality, HSE, or Compliance roles.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to quality, safety, and the environment.
• Experience in auditing and management system implementation preferred.
• Experience in heavy civil construction preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of ISO standards and management systems.
• Excellent organizational and documentation management skills.
• Effective communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to conduct audits and compliance assessments.
• Proficiency in Office 365.

Work Environment:

• Office-based with occasional site visits.
• May require travel for audits, training, and inspections.
