Description
We are looking for a Class B mechanic that is self motivated and works well with others. Must be able to identify problems with automotive vehicles as well as class 7-8 trucks. We are a fleet of 60 vehicles and daily duties can range from changing tires to changing head gaskets.
General Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical problems on fleet vehicles
- Make service calls on broken down trucks
- Perform maintenance on light/medium duty and heavy-duty class trucks
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner
- Keep a clean workspace
- Perform tasks given by shop manager

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid drivers license (Class A is a plus but not necessary)
- Must have own tools
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a reasonable amount of time
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a technician position and knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines
- Ability to perform inspections with limited supervision in the following heavy truck or automotive systems: suspensions and steering, general engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, drive train, diesel emissions, hydraulics
