Skyland Distributing Company is Western North Carolina's premier beverage distributor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with established Skyland Distributing Company accounts and mutually grow our business.
- This is a entry level sales position that teaches you the basics of beverage distribution.
- Merchandise orders together with a team and individually in Large Format Grocery stores in Western North Carolina.
- Manage a strict time schedule and work ethic.
- Make effective sales presentations of Skyland Distributing Company products when needed.
- Identify opportunities for sales growth within new and existing accounts.
- Work with our supplier partners to promote their products in the market.
- Evening or weekend work may be required at times.
- Prepare and present professional written and oral brand presentations.
- Responsible for assigned quotas and placement objectives on a monthly basis.
- Provides work itinerary and sales accomplishments to Merchandising Manager.
Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid NC Driver's License with clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift boxes 40 lbs.
- Must successfully pass both a physical and a criminal background check.
- Proficient in the use of an iPad and Google Workspace.
- Aptitude to market an extensive portfolio of brands for placement within assigned accounts.
- Passionate about the wine and beer industry and a desire to constantly improve knowledge and understanding of all major wine regions, and imported, domestic and craft beers.
