Salary: $22.63- $33.95
SUMMARY
Oversees the responsibilities and duties of the accounting support staff within assigned department. Verifies the work of less senior accounting clerical staff. Reviews the day today work flow of department and may replace supervisor in his/her absence. Ability to perform special projects as assigned.
Position can be located in Schenectady or Buffalo, NY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and verify the work assignments of less senior accounting clerks and oversees the day today operation within assigned accounting department. Stand in for the supervisor in his/her absence. Perform account analysis for the various accounting functions assigned to the department. Administer and complete assigned special projects using independent analysis and judgment. Assist in the preparation of department payroll and payroll budgets subject to review by the supervisor. Generate period end journal entries for inclusion in the general ledger. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 year accounting degree.
- 3 years of related experience.
