Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Home Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes and quality control standards. As a Home Inspector, you will be responsible for evaluating residential properties to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties, including structural components, systems, and appliances.
- Perform quality control checks during various phases of construction projects to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Collect research data related to building materials and construction practices for reporting purposes.
- Document findings in detailed inspection reports, highlighting any areas of concern or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with home buyers, home sellers, real Estate agents, contractors and builders to discuss inspection results and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and safety regulations to ensure inspections are conducted in accordance with current standards.
- Marketing your abilities to local real estate agents during training and beyond to gain trust with agents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site inspections or related fields is preferred.
- Must be Certified through InterNACHI. Inspector is must maintain a good standing with InterNACHI.
- Familiarity with quality control measures and the ability to perform quality inspections effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions based on findings.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all inspections.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
