Northeast Solar is seeking motivated individuals to join our racking and installation crew. This entry-level position is a great opportunity to start a career in renewable energy with a locally owned and mission-driven company.
As a Solar Installer, you’ll work under the guidance of our Installation Supervisor and collaborate closely with an experienced team. Your work will include assembling racking systems, mounting solar panels, and preparing job sites. This hands-on role requires working on rooftops and in variable weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Installers with high-quality solar PV system installations
- Assemble and install racking, roof mounts, and solar panels
- Load and organize tools and materials at job sites
- Provide general ground support, including site preparation and cleanup
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment for all team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior construction or roofing experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically able to lift 70 lbs unassisted, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Completion of OSHA 10 certification (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
