Position: Career Advisement Coordinator
Exempt Certified Professional, Full-Time, 12-month Staff

Starting Date: July 1, 2025
Reports to: Director of Career Advisement
Schedule: General work schedule of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday, unless the assignment requires additional time for completion.
Compensation
Package: $78,235 minimum plus salary supplements of $8,001 - $14,395 annually, commensurate with experience. Health, dental, vision, paid life insurance, and teachers' retirement paid; flexible benefits plan; sick leave, vacation, and paid holidays. The health insurance allowance Total minimum compensation package is approximately $113,235 annually.
Primary
Function: Provide advice to students and the community in all facets of the educational realm, including career development. Initiate self-understanding and awareness of students' potential in academic and technical areas—present students with a logical and realistic approach to gaining their ultimate place in society. Provide activities to address the needs of the students. Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students. Provide support to ensure appropriate enrollment of students. Guide students to acquire knowledge in several areas: career exploration, self-awareness, secondary and postsecondary educational and training information, job search skills, and employability skills.
Education: An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited college is required. Must qualify for a standard or provisional Teaching Certificate as defined by the Oklahoma Department of Education and Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education.
Experience: Oklahoma Secondary Teacher Certification required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience working with secondary students preferred. All positions require a criminal history background check and a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Section 135 of the Oklahoma School Code prohibits a school from employing or re-employing anyone convicted of a felony.
