Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing personalized nutrition care plans, providing health coaching, and conducting diagnostic evaluations to promote optimal health and well-being among clients. This role involves working with diverse populations, including geriatrics, in various settings such as hospitals and community health programs.
Duties
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on client assessments and dietary needs.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Supervise dietary staff and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education on nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and healthy eating habits to clients and their families.
- Monitor client progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve desired health outcomes.
- Stay informed about the latest research in dietetics, physiology, and nutrition systems to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Offer health coaching sessions to motivate clients towards healthier lifestyle choices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and its impact on nutrition and health.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly for geriatric populations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate clients effectively.
- Proven ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with current dietary guidelines and nutritional systems is essential.
