What are the responsibilities and job description for the Window and Door Installation Technician position at Northeast Trade Services LLC?
We are seeking two Window and Door Installation Technicians. One open position will cover work locations ranging from the Midcoast area to the Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor, and Blue Hill areas of Maine. The second open position will have work locations ranging from Southern to Central Maine.
Window and Door Installation Technicians are responsible for assisting in activities for the development, implementation, maintenance, and execution of Company projects. Each Window and Door Installation Technician will be active in the installation process for each project that they are involved in. We are looking for individuals with experience in installations or the construction industry on a broader scale; however, we are willing to train.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent communication with co-workers and supervisors
- Attend client meetings with supervisor, assist in identifying client needs
- Direct installation process changes to supervisor to begin approval change process
- Implement policies, standards, and best practices for work being performed
- Perform basic administrative functions, such as reviewing reports and plans, submitting expense reports, and mileage sheets
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change; assists in managing the process of innovative change effectively
- Ability to execute an installation project in a timely fashion
- Effectively apply company methodology, enforce standards, minimize exposure to risk and ensure completion, accuracy, and performance of finished projects
- Apply safety precautions and adhere to OSHA standards
- Communicate relevant project information to appropriate parties
- Assist co-workers and inspire co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence
- Participate in development opportunities including training
- Assist supervisor in preparation for upcoming projects including researching products, obtaining necessary materials, consulting with other co-workers and communicating findings
- Collaborate with your team members: encourage collaboration, mitigate conflict, foster positive and effective communication, acknowledgement, and appreciation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in installation or a related field preferred
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the installation process
- Ability to read and interpret installation instructions and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and resolving installation issues
- Strong communication skills
- Efficient and well organized
- Pleasant and confident demeanor when dealing with colleagues and clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
