What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Relations Coordinator - CCNG Grant position at NORTHEAST VALLEY HEALTH CORPORATION?
The Consumer Relations Coordinator (CRC) is a customer friendly individual who performs services and duties related to patient eligibility and processing to link patients and families with third party payer programs and health benefit services. The CRC serves as the lead Consumer Relations Staff for training and is the liaison between Business Office and Managed Care Dept. In addition, All CCNG/CRCs will be providing enrollment & renewal assistance for Covered California as outlined in the agreement.
Reports to: Business Office Manager/Managed Care Director
Qualifications:
1. High school graduate or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate with two years of experience in a community organization solving consumer problems.
2. Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) Certificate preferred. If not certified, must be able to complete training within 30 days of hire.
3. Current California driver’s license (Class 3), car in excellent running condition and proof of car insurance required.
4. Must have exceptional oral and written skills and public speaking experience.
5. Must have pleasant, patient oriented attitude and a professional appearance.
6. Prior insurance billing experience and/or experience in or working knowledge of a managed care environment-preferred.
7. Must pass pre-employment Spanish exam and be able to demonstrate fluidity in translating, reading and writing.
8. Some knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and billing codes preferred.
9. Ability to utilize a personal computer with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.
10. Willing and able to work a flexible and sometimes variable schedule.
11. Prior experience as a Registration Clerk, Medical Records or Consumer Relations Specialist preferred.
12. The Practice Management Information access level is 2.
