We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our team. Responsibilities
- Review patient records to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any issues related to billing or coding.
- Bill charges following all government regulations and payer rules to promote clean claims, capturing all charges for services rendered.
- Submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies.
- Process patient statement upload files to statement vendor.
- Answer patient questions regarding bills and insurance claims.
- Provide cost estimates.
- Process insurance and patient payments.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies with payers.
- Assist in the collection of outstanding balances from patients and insurance companies.
- Assist clinical team in obtaining authorization per payer policy.
- Assess insurance eligibility, benefits, coordination of benefits and coverage issues.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare systems.
- 2 Years Experience with medical billing and coding.
