What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Math Teacher for 2025/26 School Year position at Northeast Woodland Public Chartered School?
Part-time (60%) Math Teacher: beginning summer 2025.
This teacher will work collaboratively with our three middle school class teachers and our special educators. Teaching responsibilities include 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade math skills classes, as well as three Math main lesson blocks. Prior experience with teaching pre-algebra and algebra necessary. This teacher will also work in a support role during other Middle School Main lesson blocks.
Requirements:
- Received at minimum a bachelor’s degree at an approved higher education institution.
- Willing to complete NH teacher license requirements.
- Strong Math background
- Successful experience working with students in the middle school years, including an ability to build strong relationships with students.
- At least one year of teaching experience.
- Experience, familiarity, and/or genuine interest in Waldorf education.
- Desire to be a member of a very collaborative team of middle school teachers.
- Good classroom management skills
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well with colleagues, administration, and parents

Northeast Woodland utilizes a block sharing model in the middle school years, with teachers specializing in Math, Science, Social Studies, and Geography/English. They ensure student learning and growth through the use of formative and summative assessments, and based on their observations, adjust their teaching to provide additional resources as needed. Essential to this role is working with parents to establish respectful communication and providing parent education. This teacher will also serve the school through committee work and other administrative responsibilities as well as through close collegial work with the faculty.

Pay: $23,900.00 - $34,195.00 per year
