What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Assistant Teacher PART TIME position at Northeastern Academy and Early Learning Center?
Northeastern Academy and Early Learning Center is seeking passionate assistant teachers to join our team where we inspire children to become lifelong learners. We are open Monday through Friday, 5:30 am until 6:00 PM in Bettendorf, IA. Northeastern Academy and Early Learning Center serves ages 6 weeks to 5 years old providing top quality childcare in a loving, safe environment.
Qualifications
- Management and critical thinking skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Work with a team
- Must pass a state background check and federal fingerprinting
- Need current physical to start
- Mandatory Reporter training
- CPR training (adult and child)
- First Aid training (adult and child)
- Essentials Childcare Preservice Training
- Universal Precautions training
- It is preferred but not required that the candidate has experience working in early childhood education.
- Must be able to accomodate a schedule of 11am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Duties
- Support the teacher in planning, implementing, and maintaining a nurturing and supportive educational program.
- Assisting teachers during rest time with planning and organization
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore.
- Promote opportunities for students to observe, question and investigate.
- Follow a cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all classroom areas sanitary and safe.
- Build a nurturing relationship with each student and family in your classroom.
- Develop strong communication with all parents and families.
- Encourage all student’s participation and engagement; working to enhance every student’s self-confidence.
- Serve students prepared snacks and meals and monitor students during mealtimes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
