Job Description
Medical Front Desk Assistant
This role is responsible for maintaining a friendly, professional environment as our patients' first and last point of contact. Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients in person and on the phone.
- Answering patient questions or referring them to the appropriate team member.
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
- Notifying providers of patient arrivals.
- Providing exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering questions.
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
- Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.
- Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required, and we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
