What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Associate Heart Center - Full Time position at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM?
Position Summary
Provides a quality customer service experience while assisting in clinical triaging and obtaining the prior authorization for patient scheduled procedures. Performs secretarial duties including typing, filing, answering telephones and making copies.
Position Accountabilities
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control
Reports policy
Answers calls in a timely and professional
Obtains necessary information from physician offices or
Verifies all necessary incoming
Ensures all scheduled procedures have all necessary
Verifies appropriate cpt codes authorized for scheduled
Schedules triaged patient phone calls with appropriate appointments according to defined clinic
Communicates with and educates patients as
Performs basic nursing procedures including application of simple dressings and incision
Maintains patient
Cooperates with other personnel/departments to achieve
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education Preferred Experience - Required Course(s)/Training
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training - Previous clerical experience
Completion of Accredited Program - LPN/RN
Current Oklahoma LPN/RN license; BLS certification
