Job Summary:
This grant-funded position plays a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making by conducting comprehensive research and analysis. Responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of survey research, analyzing university data for internal and external stakeholders, compiling the semester and annual reports, and preparing ad hoc reports to assist the Director of Institutional Research and senior administrators.
Job Description:
Survey Administration and Reporting:
- Oversee the administration, analysis, and reporting of alumni surveys (1-year and 5-year post-graduation surveys), the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), Graduating Student Exit Survey and other campus-wide surveys.
Data Requests and Analysis:
- Fulfill data requests from various university departments, analyzing data to support program reviews, grant proposals, accreditation processes, and other institutional reporting needs.
Report Management:
- Manage and update external and internal reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain and update the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment website to provide stakeholders with current information.
Tools and Reporting Systems:
- Use SQL Developer to extract data from the Ellucian Operational Data Store (ODS) for data requests.
- Build reports in Cognos Analytics for use across the university community.
- Leverage Workday to retrieve HR-related data for reporting needs.
- Create interactive dashboards using Tableau for stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
Work Location:
- This position will have a hybrid schedule.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the goals and operations of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.
Minimal Qualifications:
1. Twenty-four (24) semester hours of college credit for course work in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, with specialization in operations research and/or mathematical modeling, and including twelve (12) semester hours of credit in mathematical modeling and/or mathematical programming.
Departmental Preferences: The ideal candidate for this role will possess skills in survey research and survey design.
Salary: $60,000
