**Job Overview:**
As a Child Advocate, you will play a crucial role in supporting and representing the best interests of children in need. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate each child's circumstances, identify services needed, advocate for those services, and monitor court orders.
**Responsibilities:**
- Advocate for children's rights and well-being in various settings
- Collaborate with families, Department of Child Services, and other providers to develop and implement plans for child welfare
- Offer emotional support and guidance to children in crisis
- Monitor and report on the progress of children under your assignment
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology, or equivilent experience working with children in crisis or vulnerable situations
- Some knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle conflict management and crisis situations effectively
- Familiarity with behavioral health and childcare practices.
- Understanding of family law and child advocacy principles
- Ability to provide empathy while maintaining professional boundaries
