What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician II position at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College?
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for corrective/preventive maintenance, general building repairs, and grounds work as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
·Performs various corrective/preventive repairs as assigned for building maintenance.
·Assist with school event setups and take downs
·Maintains inventory of items such as air filters and equipment parts.
·Conducts inspections and cleaning of equipment rooms.
·May perform corrective repairs to sump pumps and other plumbing fixtures as assigned.
·Completes assigned work orders as needed and may assist other departments.
·Perform any other maintenance duties or tasks as assigned.
·General knowledge of HVAC -Boiler experience observed.
·General electrical knowledge
·Basic fundamentals of plumbing
·Familiar with basic construction
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
·High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
·Certificate from a Vo-tech or trades school-Work experience may be substituted.
·Minimum of 2 year of experience
·Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
·Must have a working cell phone.
·Must pass a background check.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
·Ability to pay attention to the details of a project or task.
·Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more, be able to stand and/or walk 8 hours a day.
·Must be familiar with all common hand tools and their uses.
·Ability to climb and maneuver ladder and be comfortable with heights.
