FLEET MECHANIC ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will provide valuable experience for High School students interested in working in a trade. The position will assist the Fleet Mechanic with a wide variety of maintenance functions. to support the operations of the cooperative. This will include the upkeep of fleet vehicles and equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required : High School Junior or Senior

Preferred : Experience around motorized vehicles or equipment

KNOWLEDGE

• General knowledge of Northeastern REMC operations, policies, products and services.

This position requires a medium-to-high level of physical activity. This includes constant standing, physical movement and lifting up to 100 lbs. The assistant must have visual awareness and precise motor skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. The position will average 16-20 hours per week during the school year. There is the potential of increased hours during the summer. Work will be Monday- Friday between the hours of 7 : 30 am-4 : 00 pm or summer hours 7 : 00 am -3 : 30 pm. Work can be inside and outside.
