Academic Testing Coordinator
JOBSUMMARY
Thisposition performs specialized duties in support of university testingfunctions.
MAJOR DUTIES
Coordinates and supervises university academic testing services including : Accuplacer, ACT, MAT, MCAT, CLEP, TOEFL, assessment in major and various departmental and proficiency exams.
Monitors and maintains testing lab computers and other specialized equipment used in the testing lab.
Develops and maintains Testing web sites.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Severs as NSU liaison / account manager to all test providers; maintenance of test materials, official correspondence, troubleshooting technical issues, score integrity.
Trains, supervises staff and directs the work operations, develops performance standards, provides guidance, counsels staff and approves personnel actions within the office including hiring and disciplinary actions in accordance with University policies and state regulations.
Establishes and maintains effective communication and cooperative working relationships with University administrators, faculty and staff, government and private agencies and / or the public in order to accomplish the objectives of the program.
Supervises and monitors administration of tests by proctors; ensures that test instructions are accurate and that appropriate testing environments are maintained.
Plans, develops, and coordinates testing program policies, procedures and schedules, and ensures, adequate staffing for the administration of examinations.
Provides routine direction, information, and advisement to students and prospective students in regards to testing policies, procedures, and outcomes.
Ensures that all test administration is carried out in compliance with relevant university and higher education policies, regulations, guidelines, and standards.
Assists with the supervision of office operations and department budget.

SUPERVISORYCONTROLS
The University Advising, Testing and Transfer StudentServices Executive Director assigns work in terms of general instructions. Thesupervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy,and the nature and propriety of the final results.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include testing agency policies, Oklahoma Boardof Regents policies, Family Education Rights and Privacy Act regulations, and universitypolicies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment, selection andinterpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY / SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of varied specialized duties. Frequent interruptions contribute to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to provide specialized support for the university's testing procedures. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of those procedures.

Thisposition has direct supervision over an Administrative Secretary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship / internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Annual salary $38,122.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time
