General Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the operation of mechanical equipment and any fabrication as necessary. Provide leadership in inspecting buildings and equipment to ensure equipment is operating properly and buildings are maintained properly, performing preventative maintenance duties. Perform repairs, replacement, and installation of plumbing fixtures, pipes, and drains. Troubleshoot kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, and computerized control systems. Repair and / or replace electrical systems such as switches, outlets, light fixtures, telephone outlets, etc. Repair and / or rebuild motors, pumps, valves, etc. Maintain, repair and adjust boilers. Oversee vehicles, performing preventative maintenance and / or repairs as needed. Ensure snow removal and lawn equipment is operating properly and assist in the removal of snow or the mowing of lawn when needed. Oversee the completion of projects such as hanging bulletin board on wall and welding broken equipment when necessary. Read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams. Maintain communication with outside contractors to perform major repairs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience in building maintenance work is necessary.
• High school diploma necessary or equivalent, required.
• Trade school diploma preferred.
• Must possess valid Pennsylvania drivers license
• Other education / experience as accepted by the school board and administration
