Join the growing Occupational Therapy team in this fast-paced level 1 trauma hospital. OTs provide evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning to patients with a variety of medical conditions and injuries. Such as orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, oncology, geriatrics, pediatrics, etc. OTs have the unique opportunity to reduce the risk of further decline, improve functional independence, and assist with discharge planning.
Occupational therapy practitioners will collaborate closely with a multi-interdisciplinary team such as case managers, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physicians to deliver excellent patient care.
Have opportunities to practice in a variety of settings not limited to ICU, pediatrics, behavior health, and joint center. Mentor ship available, and new grads welcome.

The practice of Occupational Therapy shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementing, education, communication and demonstration of leadership to address the needs of patients and their families as well as to foster a positive working relationship among professionals and ancillary staff. This person may be caring for infants, children, adolescents and / or senior patients and will have the knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of these populations. The Occupational Therapist will practice within defined standards of care and direct the practice of support staff in order to achieve the patient's functional goals. S / he is expected to communicate effectively with other professional and support staff in order to promote a positive, problem-solving environment.

BLS (American Heart Association) - Required upon date of hire.
Fingerprint Clearance Card application number- Required upon hire
Fingerprint Clearance Card- Required within 90 days of hire
Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
Experience
Clinical documentation experience- Preferred
