Job Description:
A clinically competent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct patient care to both acutely and chronically ill patients through the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. LPNs are expected to maintain proficiency in the care of all clinical patients, as directed by the Medical Director; to including triage, patient encounters, and regulatory oversight. LPNs are expected to practice nursing in accordance to their level of training and within the scope of practice determined by the license. LPNs must function collaboratively with patients, families, Physicians, MA’s, and supporting office staff. Nurses consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in planning and delivering nursing care at Gunnison Valley Hospital.
Education: Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited college or be a graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
Licenses/Certification: Current license in the state of Colorado required, current CPR certification.
***Housing Reimbursement - At the end of the successfully completed assignment, the clinician can submit receipts for the cost of thier housing while on assignment and be reimbursed for up to $600 per month for the length of the assignment.***
