Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and assisting in the provision of quality pharmaceutical services.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts, and removing outdated drugs
- Process prescriptions accurately and ensure all medication is labeled correctly
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience
- Utilize medical terminology appropriately in the pharmacy setting
- Adhere to aseptic techniques when compounding medications
- Support patient care by preparing medications for IV infusion and inhalation
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in an acute care or hospital setting
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
