Chief Nursing Officer
The Chief Nursing Officer is a leadership position responsible for organizing and administering nursing services to achieve the facility's objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop programs, policies, and procedures to assess, evaluate, and meet the needs of patients in psychiatric services, outpatient clinics, and transitional programs.
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate care provided by RNs, LVNs, LPTs, and other mental health workers.
- Assign staffing ratios based on patient needs, acuity, staff competency, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement standards of nursing practice in behavioral healthcare settings, reviewing and revising as necessary.
- Address and support cultural practices that do not harm others or interfere with therapy plans.
- Ensure clear, concise, and current written policies and procedures are available to staff and minimize risk factors.
- Perform patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces medical / healthcare errors.
