What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bicycle Race Referee position at Northern California Nevada Cycling Association (NCNCA)?
We are recruiting bicycle race referees for the 2025 season!
Summary:
USA Cycling Referee Officials are responsible for ensuring the safety and fairness of competitive bicycle events in the Northern California Nevada region (NCNCA). Referees work a variety of events, including road races, criteriums, time trials, track/velodrome, cyclocross, and mountain bike races.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce the rules of cycling competition
- Ensure the safety of all participants and spectators
- Make decisions and judgments in a timely and fair manner
- Work cooperatively with other referees and event staff
- Provide a positive and professional experience for all participants
Qualifications:
- Passion for cycling
- Knowledge of cycling rules and regulations
- Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends

The Northern California Nevada Cycling Association (NCNCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of competitive cycling in Northern California and Nevada. Through it's member clubs, NCNCA hosts a variety of cycling events and provides a variety of educational and training programs for cyclists of all ages and abilities.
