Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prompt medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support clients in mobility and transportation needs within the home or community.
- Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of client progress and needs.
- Ensure adherence to resident rights and promote dignity and respect for all clients.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
Skills
- Certification in CPR is require to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Knowledge of rights to advocate effectively for client needs.
- Experience in nursing home or home care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of care practices to support clients with cognitive challenges.
- Ability to prepare balanced meals that meet individual dietary restrictions.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to client requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
