What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Health / Clinical Educator (Salaried/FullTime - Critical Access Hospital) position at Northern Cochise Community Hospital?
Functions as the Employee Health / Clinical Educator (EHCE) in a team and mission-based setting to provide for oversight of Employee Health Services/Program and Clinical Education of a rural Critical Access Hospital (CAH) at Northern Cochise Community Hospital (NCCH) / Rural Health Clinics (RHC’s). EHCE develops and implements programs to promote clinical education, employee health and safety on the job, and meets regulatory and legal requirements for the maintenance of employee health and clinical training records. Conducts staff education regarding employee health / disease prevention and health promotion. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Supervision Required: Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) or designated administrator.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Public Health, or related field; or combination of education and/or experience, preferred,
Previous experience as registered nurse preferred.
Previous experience in clinical education, employee health and/or occupational health, or public health a benefit.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse, license in the State of Arizona, Preferred.
Current, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate (American Heart Association), required – must maintain current certification and recertify prior to expiration date.
