What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pest Control Technician position at Northern Colorado Pest Control?
We are looking for a motivated team player that is eager to learn the field of pest and wildlife control. A normal day will consist of preparing for your day the night before and then completing the assigned jobs the following day and responding to add-on jobs if necessary. Business hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday with very rare Saturday work that is on a volunteer basis. Experience is preferred but not required. Depending upon experience we require 1-2 months of training before you will be issued your work vehicle and assigned to jobs on your own. Training will consist of both classroom and field work. A majority of your job will consist of pest control (ants, spiders, cockroaches, bed bugs, stinging insects and rodents). A small percentage of your job will be wildlife related (raccoons, squirrels, skunks, bats, birds and snakes). Candidate must be comfortable driving in downtown Denver.
Northern Colorado Pest and Wildlife Control has been in business since 2016 and we are growing at a record pace. This position is being filled to add to our current crew of 12 employees. The candidate for this job will be required to pass a background check, have a clean driving record, physical and pass a drug test. The best candidate must be able to handle and use a ladder safely and be comfortable in attics and crawlspaces. Successful employees are great team players, are flexible, think outside the box and communicate very well with their customers, team and the office.
This position will be hourly during training and will continue that way with some prevailing wage work in Denver that is around $29 per hour. You will get up to 48 hours of PTO your first year and at your 90-Day Review you are eligible to jump onto the companies medical plan which we cover the first $275 dollars per month. You will also be given a $300 uniform allowance that goes towards work boots and pants. At your one year anniversary you are eligible for the 3% company IRA match as well.
