What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Northern Construction Service LLC?
Responsibilities
Primarily supporting the Accounts Payable function:
- Process and record vendor invoices, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and authorized for payment.
- Communicates with vendors and internal professionals to resolve issue.
- Manages vendor credentials (Insurance Certs, Tax-Exempt Certs, W9s).
- Ensure all financial documents are properly filed, scanned, and stored in an organized manner for easy retrieval and compliance.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by ensuring all necessary financial records and documentation are available.
Secondarily supporting data entry for construction job costing:
- Reporting of job costs into cost code quantity worksheets.
- Distribution of AR Invoices into relevant cost codes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional Attributes
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Ability to work independently is required
- Experience working in a dynamic office environment
- High comfort level with external verbal communications
- Experience managing multiple priorities at a given time
- Ability to analyze a problem with limited information
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation abilities
- Construction industry, Foundation Software, and accounting experience a plus
- Previous accounts payable experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
