Northern Counties Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Administrative Assistant to join their team at the Hardwick Area Health Center. This individual will work closely with the Practice Manager to provide essential support to the clinic, colleagues, and providers, ensuring the smooth delivery of care and upholding our commitment to quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow by coordinating with nursing and provider staff.
- Answer incoming phone calls, perform initial triage, and forward calls to the appropriate staff member or take messages as appropriate.
- Register patients and update computerized registration information as necessary.
- Prepare and update medical records for new and returning patients.
- Process requests for medical records to and from other offices.
- Support audits and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: One year of office or professional experience preferred; Medical Receptionist experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in computer skills, including email functions, spreadsheets, and document processing. Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
