Dental AssistantNorthern Counties Health Care is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position is located at our Northern Counties Dental Center in Hardwick, VT. As a key member of our dental care team, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to deliver high-quality care, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.Currently offering Sign on Bonus!Responsibilities :
- Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and preparing necessary setups.
- Take x-rays, impressions, and assist in creating and seating / cementing temporary restorations.
- Support the dental hygienist as needed and contribute to patient education.
- Prepare solutions, pour dental models, and construct mouth guards and fluoride trays.
- Maintain accurate documentation of clinical activities and relevant patient information.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
- Participate in the ongoing quality assurance process, assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of dental service protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental lab area.Qualifications :
- Education : High School diploma or GED required. Completion of a certified course in Dental Radiography is preferred. CPR / BLS certification required.
- Experience : One year of experience in a supervised dental practice setting preferred.
- Skills : Proficiency in computer skills, including email functions, spreadsheets, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
