What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Administrator position at Northern Energy Services?
Northern Energy Services is looking for an employee benefits administrator. This is an in-person position that oversees benefits for multiple companies and requires someone reliable with excellent organization and communication skills.
Duties:
- Performing the day-to-day administration of employee benefits such as health insurance, HRA, and voluntary benefits
- Auditing monthly invoices to ensure proper enrollment and correcting any errors
- Reconciling voluntary benefits withholdings and communicating amounts for each employee to payroll
- Coordinating benefits renewals with our brokers
- Communicating with employees regarding their benefits both as groups and individually
- Working with our database designer to update online forms
- Producing report of annual premiums paid for W-2 reporting
- Updating employees’ ACA information in accounting software for year-end reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- One year prior experience with employee benefit enrollments
- Experience with Employee Navigator, HIPAA and/or ACA filings preferred
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can perform tasks efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Standard hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM with an hour for lunch. Rate of pay will depend on experience.
