Job Summary
The primary duties of this position are to assist in the management and leadership of the 2nd shift warehouse team, as well as sharing the responsibility with other supervisors to:
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise a labor staff of 12-20 Union employees.
- Utilize company WMS to manage labor and inventory.
- Oversee the timely completion of the picking process.
- Supervise order fulfillment and daily cross-docking of product.
- Assign and oversee department cleanliness throughout three separate temperature zones (dry, cooler, freezer).
- Interact and support sales team with product availability.
- Support delivery driver check in process and returns.
- Lead by example in following company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ability and Willingness to work hands on with the team to meet deadlines.
Experience/Qualifications
- 5-years of experience in warehouse distribution- perishable product preferred.
- Working knowledge of Office 365/Microsoft Word & Excel
- Demonstrate a general understanding in the following areas:
- Warehouse Management Systems
- Inventory Control
- Shipping & Receiving
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills in a Diverse Work Environment
- Hiring, Training, and Personnel issues.
- Ability to Multitask and Prioritize
- Work with a sense of urgency and a result driven mindset.
