What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Teacher position at Northern Hills Child Care?
We are seeking dedicated Child Care Teachers to support the intellectual, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of children, including those with trauma and behavioral challenges. You will provide supervision, engaging lessons, and role-playing activities to foster development in all aspects of their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement educational and social-emotional activities.
- Support children’s development through play, storytelling, and creative methods.
- Provide basic care and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
- Identify and address behavioral challenges with appropriate strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress.
- Promote positive social skills and peer interactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high-quality care.
- Complete 12 hours of ongoing training, including CPR and First Aid.
Skills:
- Experience in child care, especially with trauma and behavioral needs.
- Strong knowledge of child development and teaching methods.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.
