Job Requirements and Preferred Knowledge:
As an Employee Use Shuttle Driver, we’re looking for a reliable and safety-conscious individual who meets the following requirements:
Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL is a plus, but not required.
Vehicle Operation: Comfortable operating a passenger shuttle vehicle and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Must be familiar with vehicle maintenance checks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
Safety-Conscious: A strong focus on safety and punctuality. Ability to follow traffic laws, company policies, and procedures to ensure a smooth and secure ride for all passengers.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both with passengers and the operations team, to ensure everyone is well-informed and comfortable.
Customer Service: A friendly, positive attitude when interacting with employees and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Duties:
- Safely driving employees to and from designated locations, ensuring they arrive on time and in comfort.
- Transporting Employees to and from weekly Fairbanks trips
- Occasional pick ups and drop offs from the train/bus depot for incoming and departing employees
- Conducting pre-trip inspections, checking the shuttle for safety, cleanliness, and ensuring it’s in good working condition. Performing basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Following set routes and schedules, adjusting as needed for efficiency and safety, and maintaining communication with the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintaining accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and any vehicle issues that arise.
- Greeting employees with a positive attitude, assisting with any special requests, and providing a professional, friendly, and welcoming experience.
- Ensuring all passengers are properly seated and following safety protocols, including seat belt use, during transit.
- Occasional guest shuttle service for annual events (Solstice Fest and Augtoberfest)
