San Francisco based firm is seeking an Interior Designer to join their design-centric studio. Winner of the American Prize of Architecture, this studio passionately dedicates itself to the renewal of beauty in architecture; project types include adaptive reuse, residential, mixed-use, workplace, biotech, civic (including music halls), sports, and master planning. Founded in the late 90s, the CEO has been featured as one of Silicon Valley’s most distinguished start-up founders in the field of architecture. This 30 person studio has recently been working with clients such as Netflix, Amazon & Facebook in the Bay Area.
The Interior Designer will be working on cutting edge commercial and multi-family interiors, under the guidance of a senior project team member.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the design work.
- Prepare interior design plans and renderings using design programs.
- Perform design computations (take-offs, area calculations).
- Research and assist in the material and finish selections, and conduct product research and evaluations.
- Assist in the preparation of design and construction documents, as well as correct and update drawings.
- Coordinate with the senior design team to ensure integration of design elements.
- Assist with the selection of FF&E systems and freestanding furniture.
- Prepare finish binders, material boards, and study models as required.
- Assist in maintaining the company's database.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
