Position Description : This role, at the Job Captain level, necessitates prior experience in construction document preparation. The role of a Job Captain is pivotal in ensuring the production of top-tier project deliverables in construction documents across all phases of a project, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. Responsibilities :
- Proficiency in organizing public bid projects from schematic design through bidding phases.
- Conducting thorough Code research to ensure project compliance with Division of State Architect (DSA) or other relevant governing jurisdiction requirements.
- Collaborating with consultant engineers to ensure seamless integration of documents.
- Client interaction to incorporate their needs into project documents.
- Provide invaluable support for all tasks essential to the successful project completion.
- Craft project construction documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Communicate and coordinate document preparation with consultants, contractors, and team members.
- Diligently review shop drawings, project submittals, and other materials for document compliance.
- Maintain thorough documentation of code review and compliance.
- Foster seamless communication and coordination with management, clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring smooth daily business operations.
Skills & Requirements :
Education Requirements : A Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required, with preference given to candidates who are California Licensed Architects and possess 1-4 years (Junior Level) or 4 years (Intermediate & Senior Level) of architecture construction document experience.
