We are seeking a skilled Aviation Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain our fleet to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has experience working on turbine and jet aircraft, possesses strong troubleshooting skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position based in our Grand Rapids, Michigan location.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
- Conduct detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on airframes, engines, avionics, and other aircraft systems.
- Document all maintenance actions accurately in maintenance logs and comply with all reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with pilots, dispatchers, and maintenance teams to ensure aircraft availability.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to complete maintenance tasks effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the hangar and on the tarmac.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, training, and certifications.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft systems, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficiency with maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and computer-based maintenance tracking systems
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (e.g., confined spaces, outdoor environments)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
Education and Experience:
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification (Required)
