POSITION TITLE: Director of Family Stability Services
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Family Services
FLSA: Exempt
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for driving operational excellence and exceptional service delivery provided by NKCAC neighborhood staff. Ensures administration of emergency service programs and achieving program outcomes through collaborative case management and family coaching plans.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly manages Family Stability Specialists supporting NKCAC’s eight neighborhood centers to ensure clients receive exceptional customer service.
- Works with other family services leaders and program managers to provide support, technical assistance and training for field staff in CSBG compliance, Self Sufficiency services (Case management), Healthcare Enrollment, Access to Education supports, Weatherization application processes, and other time limited projects as assigned.
- Coordinates monthly training calendar with Manager of Operations to ensure staff have adequate knowledge of programs and data management systems.
- Responsible for delivery of all agency emergency services programs including but not limited to LIHEAP Subsidy and Crisis, Fiscal Court Funds, Duke HEA, Wintercare, Lex Wintercare, and other monetary assistance programs.
- Maintains current knowledge of funding source/grant requirements relating to specific responsibilities of the position, the policies and procedures and applies best practices to meet program outcomes in all agency emergency funding sources.
- Implements written program procedures for monitoring emergency service funding source requirements and best practices.
- Coordinates with the finance department and Emergency Services Program Coordinator to ensure proper allocation and reconciliation for emergency services funds.
- Establishes and maintains a network of businesses, organizations and other partners to maintain current and recruit new program participants to ensure all program goals are met.
- Assures the quality of program data and assists in the development and maintenance of the agency’s reporting system.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with related organizations within the agency’s service area.
- Conducts regular visits to Neighborhood Centers to monitor client files and coach staff for performance.
- Monitors data entry for quality and ensures client privacy.
- Provides input to the Vice President of Family Services for the annual Community Needs Assessment and assists in the development of the plan to meet the identified needs.
- Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Strategic Plan and ROMA.
- Oversees training and implantation of Strength’s Based Family Worker Credentialing process annually; work with additional staff to become trained as instructors for SFW.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure program outcomes.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience coaching teams for performance and managing work that drives desired outcomes.
- Experience managing customer services teams preferred.
- Knowledge of computer management systems is required.
- Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.

- Able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk working on a computer
- Full range of motion, able to stand, walk, bend, and carry
- Ability to lift up to 25 points at times
