OMNIBUS BUDGET RECONCILIATION ACT (OBRA) THERAPIST
This position serves 6 different nursing facilities in Roscommon, Crawford, Wexford and Missaukee Counties. The OBRA office is located in Traverse City.

Under the direction of the OBRA Coordinator, provides agency and community based mental health services to person with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in nursing facilities. Will provide consultation and training to designated community agencies/agents in line with agency needs to program plans. Will assist in the developments and implementation of policy and procedure as it relates to SMI & I/DD adults i nursing facilities. Provides nursing facilities with consultation and services consumers needing mental health intervention.
PAY: $71,663 - $80,663

Essential Functions
Will provide mental health assessment and direct treatment services of individuals approved from OBRA services in nursing facilities. Will provide elderly outreach services as needed.
Will participate in the planning, provisions, monitoring and coordination of appropriate mental health services, including case management, behavior management, medication and psychiatric consultation and related treatment programs. Primary service population is for persons identified as SMI & I/DD who are receiving treatment in nursing facilities. will collaborate with Primary Care Physicians, nursing home staff, family and caregivers in the service planning and delivery for identified clients.
Will participate in the review and evaluation of programs, services provided in the nursing home setting and to elderly clients.
Assertively develops and delivers services consistent with DHHS identified clients.
Qualifications
This position may require irregular hours.
This position may require travel by personal vehicle if an agency vehicle is not available.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology *from an accredited university
- Fully licensed as one of the following: LMSW, LPP, LPC
- Limited licensure may be considered
- Must maintain licensure
