What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Substitute – Spanish / English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher position at Northern Lehigh School District?
- Long-Term Substitute Position, effective for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, with the possibility of continuation into subsequent school years.
- Certification in Spanish and/or English as a Second Language required
- K-12 position with a middle school focus for the 2024-2025 school year. The specific ESL focus will be determined annually based on enrollment
- Must demonstrate exceptional teaching abilities and a thorough understanding of student needs
- Ability to foster cultural understanding within the classroom, school district, and community
- Strong communication skills required to effectively engage with parents, faculty, staff, and students
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
- Excellent references required
- Bilingual/multilingual capabilities preferred
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and roles
