Job Description

Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technician

Job Specialty : Nuclear Imaging

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (8.5-hour Day)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Experience : 1 year (minimum)

License : Maine Radiography License with Nuclear Medicine Designation

Certifications :

ARRT (N) or NMTCB

Must-Have : Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT or CNMT boards

Job Description :

Work in a robust and fast-paced nuclear program where teamwork is essential.

Conduct various scans including cardiac, stress rest tests, HIDA, renal, bone, and PET CT.

Responsible for performing an average of 15 scans per day.

Collaborate closely with the supervisor, leadership, stress RN, cardiologist, and radiologist.

Operate Siemens Intevo equipment, hot lab equipment, and utilize Cerner EMR and Enterprise Imaging AGFA PACS.

Engage in a 2-week orientation based on experience and comfort level.

Participate in weekend rotation approximately once per month, Sundays only from 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM.

No floating to other facilities; may float within the department.

The department is closed on major holidays, with minor holidays rotated with other technicians.

Wear professional scrubs provided by the department, or opt for any professional color.
