What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult/Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist position at Northern Light Health?
Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a BC/BE psychiatrist for a unique role that is split between our Adult and Pediatric Inpatient Services. This is a 0.4 FTE (16 hours/week) opportunity and will require candidates to be fellowship trained in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Details:
- Schedule: weekends only (Saturday and Sunday), 8 hours/day, on-site
- Lead interdisciplinary teams responsible for providing psychiatric care and teaching on the Adult and Pediatric Inpatient Services
- Oversee the diagnostic process and formulation/implementation of treatment plans; ensure therapies and activities provided are consistent with treatment plan objectives
- In collaboration with the team, perform diagnostic evaluations, initiate treatment interventions, and provide follow-up evaluations
- Option to participate in teaching/lecturing opportunities with our Adult Psychiatry Residency Program
