Summary :
The Lead of Radiology and CT will oversee all aspects related to clinical services, procedures and staff. He/She will work closely with the Manager of Imaging Services.
Responsibilities:
1. Establishes, along with Manger, performance standards for X-ray and CT technologists including the areas of technical skills, competencies, professional behavior, safety, communication and management. 2. Facilitates communication between departments. 3. Works with the manager to see that maintenance is performed on all clinical equipment and that all equipment is within specifications for proper, accurate and safe operation. 4. Ensures quality images are obtained by all technologists and ensures protocols are followed as outlined by the radiologist. 5. Leads by example in all aspects of performance and behavior. 6. Assists management and Medical Director in the drafting and development of policies for operating equipment. 7. Demonstrates proficiency in all diagnostic examinations. 8. Provides oversight, direction and clinical education of technologists. 9. Oversees training or in-service reviews for technologist as needed and ensures clinical competency of all technologists 10. Maintains safe and proper work environment in clinical setting. 11. Conducts annual evaluations and oversees competencies for X-Ray and CT Technologists 12. Monitors and maintains PACS records, reconciling inaccuracies and coordinating with EMHS PACS Team. 13. Responsible for protocol management in CT and X-Ray
