Position is located: Mayo Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft, ME

Work Type: Full Time

Hours Per Week: 36 Hour/Week

Work Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Eligible for a Sign on Bonus

Summary:

Responsible for the overall supervision of the delivery of patient care on the assigned shift, including meeting State of Maine, Department of Human Services standards, as well as, established departmental standards; for promoting teamwork with physicians and all hospital departments; and for managing equipment, supply and h\pharmacy needs which occur on the shift. Acts as the administrative representative when other administrative personnel are not present, resolving or referring problems as they arise.

Responsibilities :

Maintains confidentiality and insures privacy guidelines are followed Treats all customers with dignity and respect and responds appropriately to their needs. Seeks opportunities to exceed patient and family expectations. Supports and coaches staff in each of the above. Facilitates staff independence and growth through mentoring and coaching. Coordinates implementation of plan D and other emergency codes as needed. Demonstrates competencies for access and control of secured areas; pharmacy, medical records, OR. Constructively participates in staff meetings, committees, or other events in accordance with departmental guidelines.

Other Information:

BLS Required. QUALIFICATIONS& EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of Maine. BS/BSN preferred. Minimum 2 years clinical experience with previous management experience preferred.
