We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused receptionist to join our team at Northern Light CA Dean Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experience, maintaining high levels of skill in proper documentation, and executing excellence in customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross cover all clerical positions in the office, including scanning, call center, high-level scheduling functions, and baseline clerical skills for check-in and check-out.
- Maintain a high level of skill in proper documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Execute excellence in customer service, performing independently and serving as a role model to all staff through education and performance.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Requirements:
- Ability to collect co-pays or other payments at time of service and perform cash up at the end of each business day with another receptionist as a double-check system.
- Communicate effectively with Medical Assistants/Nurse to notify of late arrivals, no-shows, etc.
- Collect demographic information from patients and ensure insurance eligibility for each patient for the date of service.
- Cover outlying clinics and specialty clinics as needed.
- Provide Customer Service for a positive patient experience.
- Demonstrate high-level customer service.
- Offer free care applications to patients who may benefit from financial assistance.
- Provide patients with education and access to the portal.
- Be a problem solver and follow issues to resolution.
- Become approachable and make high-level schedule changes and decision-making.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Ensure the PCP is correct on every patient.
- Ensure the multi-patient task list is always up to date.
- Ensure the clerical pool is up to date and handled within one business day.
